Bill Fries has been a practicing attorney in Pennsylvania since 1977 and in the Lehigh Valley and surrounding regions since 1979. Bill practices primarily in Lehigh and Northampton Counties, and in the Federal District Courts for the Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania. Bill is a 1974 cum laude graduate of the University of Scranton and a 1977 graduate of Duquesne University School of Law.
Bill’s primary areas of practice are elder law, estate planning and estate administration, Orphans’ Court litigation, municipal zoning law, business transactions, real estate, and other civil trial matters. Bill takes pride in providing prompt individual attention and quality service to each of his clients. Bill has practiced continuously in the Courts of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania since 1977, and is also admitted to practice before the United States Federal District Courts in Pennsylvania, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
In addition to practicing law in the Lehigh Valley and surrounding areas, Bill lives in the Lehigh Valley and is active in the community. Bill is a past Board member of the Lehigh County Drug and Alcohol Advisory Board and the Lehigh County Mental Health/Mental Retardation Advisory Board. Bill serves as an Advisory Council member of St. Paul’s Church in Allentown and as an officer of The Lehigh Valley Chapter of the University of Scranton, Alumni Society.
Bill is also active in the professional legal community, as a member of the Elder Law and Family Law Committees of the Pennsylvania Bar Association. Bill is the past President of the Family Law Section of the Lehigh County Bar Association and past President of the Donald E. Wieand, Sr. Barristers Inn, a Lehigh County Bar Association group established to advance professionalism and civility in the legal community.
